Hua Hin/Cha'am is a beautiful place for one to visit. It has a number of things to see and visitors do have a lot to do when they come on vacation here. Below are some of the places that you may visit and fulfill your heart's desire while in Hua Hin/Cha'am.
The Cha'am Beach
The Cha'am Beach for one is indeed a spectacular one, stretching more than two KM. With its white sands and clear blue waters, it is a sight that is magnetic for the visiting eye. It is an ideal place to spend a warm day relaxing in the sun with plenty of water to cool off in.
Phra Ratchaniwet Maruldshathayawan
Another major attraction in Cha'am is Phra Ratchaniwet Maruldshathayawan. This is a place that the king Rama the 6th used to stay at during summer. However, today it is not the kind of place it once was. It is still maintained well and has the dignity it always did, but it is now under the control of the Border Patrol Police Headquarters.
Kaeng Krachan Dam
The Kaeng Krachan Dam is another place worth visiting when you are visiting Hua Hin/Cha'am. This dam is situated in Amphoe Tha Yang, around 51 kilometers away from Cha-Am. One way that you may reach this place is to first go to Amphoe Tha Yang, and then move 30 KM ahead of Tha Yang. By the end of the 30Km distance you will find yourself at the dam.
Chao Samran Beach
Chao Samran Beach is also worth checking out; it is situated 51 Km from Cha-Am. It was a very popular resort in the old days; legend has it that King Naresuanand King Eka Thotsarot would visit this place quite often, and they enjoyed this spot so much that they would even spend nights there. It is because of this appreciation of this beach that the locals had named it after the royal figures, and named it the "Beach of Royal Leisure".
Laem Luang Beach and Pukitian Beach
Ahead of this beach is yet another beautiful location for picnics; about 4 kilometers from Chao Samran Beach is Laem Luang Beach. This is also a white sandy location for one to relax during your stay at Cha'am. It is a white strip more than 2 km long. Another 7km ahead of this beach, there is yet another lovely beach. This is called the Pukitian Beach, and this is the latest hot spot for visitors. Though it is growing more populated with the number of visitors coming here, it still seems to be a favorite.
Khao Wang hill
In addition to Ch'am's beaches being among some of the great sites to visit, it must be asserted that there are other beautiful sites as well. One of these includes the Khao Wang hill; it is located near to Amoghoe Muang Phetchaburi, which is at about 36 kilometers from Cha-Am. This hill is 92 meters high. It is known that King Mongkut liked this hill so much that he ordered a palace to be built on top of it. This was in the year 1860 when he used to spend his vacations up there. The hill was named Phra Nakhon Khiri, but the locals still refer to it as "Khao Wang". Presently, Khao Wang is known as the Phra Nakhon Khiri National Museum, which is for public visitors between 9.00 am and 4:00 pm daily.
Khao Luang Cave
The Khao Luang Cave is also an interesting place to visit while you are in Hua Hin/Cha'am. It is situated in the Khao Luang hill, which is just 5km away from Khao Wang, and is the same height as it as well (92 meters). It is said that this cave is the most important in this place, as it holds the image of Buddha that was created under the orders of King Chulalongkorn; this creation was supposed to be a dedication to King Nang Klao and King Mongkut.
