If you are a fish lover, the place you should visit is the Jagalchi Market. This market is known for its great fish all over Pusan. You can eat raw fish (sushi) at some stalls. The market also has restaurants where you can try out the local delicacies. One of the delicacies is fresh “Ggut Gye Jjim” which in English is ‘crab stew’. The stew can be washed down with Korean vodka, which is said to make a very good combination. You can easily get to this market if you catch a subway (there are only two) and use your sense of smell to direct you to the market.
Pusan has many parks to relax in. Near the parks are many eateries and newspaper stands. Some parks may not allow you to bring food and drinks from outside. One of the famous parks is Sumir Park. It was opened in 1998, and the name means ‘water dragon’. The initial purpose this park was as a resting place for people who use the ferry service. The park has special events which are performed by young people. The park is also used for playing basketball.
If you are particularly interested in water sports, the place to be is the Songdo beach. It was the first tourist beach to open in Pusan. You can rent diving gear and the beach supports a beautiful of coastal area. You can also view the suspension bridges that connect to the main island. There are many well known raw fish restaurants. For family entertainment, there is an amusement park in Pusan. The park is located at the foot of Paegyangsan. It offers rides and has a zoo with animals such as lions, tigers, bears and camels. You can enjoy the common amusement park sweet, cotton candy, or try some dried shrimp if you are feeling adventurous..
