Singapore is a great place to visit because of all the action and the serenity the country offers. You may simply choose to spend time going to places and observing things. There is so much to see here and trips to places such as Little China and the Jurong Bird Park are fulfilling.
The Jurong Bird Park is a recommended place for you to visit. It is one of the world's largest reservations for birds and there are bird shows held at the Pools Amphitheatre. The birds included in the Pools Amphitheatre show are: macaws, hornbills, flamingoes and cockatoos. In addition, there are several features that are worth checking out. This could take several hours because the park is quite large. It is more convenient to take the monorail in the park. It will certainly save you a lot of walking.
Just like visiting the Jurong Bird Park can be a great deal of fun, educational and an entertainment experience, the Night Safaris offer the same benefits. People often are disappointed during the day safaris because animals are not in action. They tend to hunt when it is cooler (at night) and you can see more night creatures crawling about in search of food.
Another interesting place to see is the Singapore Crocodilarium with is amazing collection of over 1,000 crocodiles. In addition to the crocodilarium having these creatures on display there is also a shop there that sells reptiles to visitors. The next place to see is China Town. It consists of the districts: Kreta Ayer, Telok Ayer, Tanjong Pagar and Bukit Pasoh. China Town is very big and its population is not entirely Chinese.
Perhaps the greatest story out of this place is how harsh conditions were when Chinese settlers came here. They had only one source of water, the wells. A bullock-drawn cart was used to get water to each household, hence the local name Niu Che Shui which means Bullock Cart Water. In addition to this fascinating place, there is a lot of shopping in this area. Temples are another attraction in this area.
Another cool attraction is the Underwater Viewing Exhibits. In this exhibition you can see polar bears, sea lions, penguins, crocodiles and false ghavials, and pygmy hippos. These all make the exhibition an interesting site and one that you should not miss out on when you go to Singapore..
