Manila is indeed one of the most fascinating places to be. It has a wide variety of things to see and do, and you can learn quite a bit of history through the landmarks and monuments here. The map of manila helps to reveal some of the interesting places in the area.
You can learn approximately at which points some of the interesting landmarks are, and this might be helpful for you through your stay here.
In order to help you understand approximately where each location is, we will refer to each one in terms of geographical location (North, South, East and West). This is a standard method of describing locations, and is convenient as well. To the North of Manila, you would face the Angeles Olongapo and Subic. Towards the North West, there is the Valenzuela, and towards the North East, there is the Ninoy Aquino Parks& Wildlife Center.
In the North still, we have the Quezon City, the Chinese Cemetery, and the Calcoon City.
Towards the West, we have Santa Cruz and Manila City. Towards the East of Manila City, there is San Juan. Beneath San Juan is Mandaluyong. Dissecting San Juan and the City of Manila longitudinally is a water way that splits as it travels South, and continues West towards Corregidor. The other part of this water way continues towards the South East untidily and transversely dissecting Mandaluyong and Makati.
On the South-East, below Makati is the US Military Cemetery, and South of that is Taguig. Separating these locations on the East side is a railway rack that runs at an angle in a North West to South East fashion. In fact, this part of the map is disected by the track running from around Rizal Park and heading towards Pagsanjan. On the West side of this track is Passay City, and blow that is Baclaran.
Towards the South end is the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Coming back to the railway track lining that we have described from Rizal Park onwards, it must be said that the track starts from around the North East, and passes through Valenzuela. After this, it continues Southwards, passing through Caloocan City and heads straight for Santa Cruz. In addition to the Railway track running through manila from North to South, there are other means of getting from one place to the other. The city is well linked up through its roads, and the transport systems in place make it all convenient.
Finding your way about the different areas here is not difficult. You simply have to tell your taxi where you want to go, and he will take you there. When it comes to traveling by bus, you need to know about the bus routes. For this you would have to understand in which districts your destination lies. The routes are usually mentioned at bus stops, but it would be better for you to ask your travel guide at your hotel. Your travel guide would be able to tell you a little extra about the area you are heading for, which might be helpful.
