Malacca is an interesting place to visit. There is plenty to see and do with the historic scenery and beauty, you will want to spend as many days possible in this city.

Malacca Culture:

Malacca is indeed a wonderful place. The culture is brilliant and lively; it also is traditional because of the memories that it holds of its early days. The people here appreciate their history and culture which is why they have made sure that they maintain the historical sites.

     
 

Weather in Malacca:

The weather in Malacca is similar to other parts of the country as far as temperature and rainfall are concerned. The average temperature remains in the mid 20s C (70s F) throughout the year. Rainfall is part of the weather in Malacca, with abundant rainfall through the year. From December to February there is a decline rainfall. However, in March the rainfall starts to climb steadily from 16-20 cm and stays that way through November.

Shopping in Malacca:

There are several places to shop in Malacca. Some of the places that are well known include:

What to Wear in Malacca:

Since the weather in Malacca is quite pleasant, it is fine to wear almost anything you want. Light clothing is preferable. One point to consider is the rainfall because it becomes quite humid.

Travel around Malacca:

There are some interesting places to see in Malacca, particularly Malacca Town. In Malacca Town there are many locations situated close together.

Examples of these include: Christ Church, the Dutch Graveyard and the People’s Museum.
In addition to traveling in the area, there are other places that you may travel to in the city. There are some long curving roads that take you from one part of the city to the other. Some of the main roads start very far and stretch from the outskirts of the city into the center and are a great way to get around town.

  • Staring in west Malacca and heading towards the south is Tengkera; this is the road that can help you reach all the interesting locations in Malacca
  • From the northwest is th Salan hang Tush that will bring you to the center of Malacca
  • From the north is Bandahara that will bring you to the center of the center
  • From the southeast is a route that approaches the center of Malacca. This is perhaps the curviest long road. The portion of this road that leads into the city is called Abdullah

Health Services in Malacca:

The Melaka Hospital is one of the best known hospitals in Melacca. It has a 24-hour services and remains committed to all those who need its help in times of need. It is a big hospital in terms of its size and services. Apex Health is another health service provider that is fully equipped to cater to almost any kind of health problem. It also has a 24 hour service.

Malacca Nightlife:

Some of the best places to hang out at in Malacca include:

  • Big Bike Pub and Karaoke, located at 289, Taman Melaka Raya Malacca
  • Chelsea Pub, suited to young executives. It is located at Taman Melaka Raya Malacca
  • Downtown Exclusive Dance Club; a real techno environment at No. 9 Bangunan Draland Malacca

  • Sparks at 37 & 39 Jalan Melaka Raya 13 Malacca.

Dining Out in Malacca:

There are some of the best restaurants in Malacca; some of them are award-winners.
The best ones are available at Renaissance Melaka Hotel. It has:
  • Capers Restaurant, which serves Mediterranean food
  • Long Feng Chinese Restaurant that serves Chinese food

At the Equatorial Malacca (Hotel), you should check out the:

  • Golden Phoenix, which has some of the best Cantonese and Szechuan food
  • Seri Nyonya Peranakan, which serves traditional food and has a setting to match it. This is definitely recommended if you are looking for a real taste of Malacca.

In addition to these brilliant restaurants, there is also the award-winning Kampachi, at the Equatorial.
In addition to these hotel restaurants there are also several other eating spots in Malacca.

Malacca Business:

In Malacca, there are various businesses. The hotel business and food service do rather well because of the revenue that these businesses earn through tourism. There are also other trades that do well including all those that attract the public, such as the rides and sites available to tourists.
