One of the calmest places to visit is Tioman because there is much less activity going compared to other tourist resorts. The bulk of the activity that takes place here is carried out by making use of the local natural resources. The natural resource areas are suited to diving and snorkeling. Indeed, there are numerous areas available for this on this quiet island.

Inland there are interesting activities to engage in, most of which is on the west coast. Much of the beauty is there and access to Tioman is easy from the west. Four of the well-known places in west Tioman are Berjaya Tioman Suites, Golf Course and Berjaya Tioman Beach Golf and Spa Resort. Towards the south, but still on the west coast, you can find Genting Village. This is known to be an ideal place for swimming and diving as well.

The area is ideal even if you simply want to relax and enjoy the scenic beauty. This is an important part of Tioman because, even if you do not want to engage in any activity,, you can always enjoy the peace and quiet while simply observing what the landscape has to offer. Other locations that you can enjoy that are similar to Genting are Tekek and Salang. These are villages that are as beautiful as Genting's for activity and relaxation. Towards north Tioman is the Saling village. Like the Genting village located on the west coast, this village too offers you an ideal place for swimming and other water activities.

Below Salang is Air Batang and below Banatang is Persona Island Resort. From Air Bantang, to the east there is Juara Village. This route is actually known as the Jungle Track. Midway on the Jungle track and below it is the Landing Strip. Towards the central part of Tioman is Gutuing Kajang. Juara Village locations is east of Gutuing Kajang. Towards the southeast there is Bukit Seperuk, which is as attractive and delightful as Gutuang Kajang. Below Bukit Seperuk, in the south, is another delightful place called teh Mukut Village. Since this village is situated on the south coast it is an ideal location for one to enjoy the cool waters. Towards the southwest is Bukit Neack Senukut.
