One of the best holiday spots is Tioman which is located in Southeast Asia. There is so much to see and do because of the scenic beauty and the opportunities to go out and get in touch with nature. Most people find the beaches in Tioman most attractive because there is so much to do in these wonderful sandy stretches and blue waters, decorated with corals. It is an ideal location for swimming and diving, and a number of people like to try out the water sports. You will find that you can spend everyday at the beach, but of course you may feel the need to see other places in Tioman.

According to legend Tioman is the resting place for the Beautiful Dragon Princess. It is said that while this dragon was traveling from China to Singapore to meet her prince, she was so taken with the sight of the spectacular South China Sea that she decided to discontinue her journey and took the form of an island to enjoy the sight for the rest of her existence. It is also said that she did this to provide other travelers an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the sea.

The next attractive place to see at Tioman, in the vicinity, where you may picnic, dive and swim is the marine treasure trove. There are species here that have hardly been seen in other parts of the world, which are of different shapes, sizes and colors. Other interesting sites in Tioman include the verdant hill from Tekek to Juara. Here you can see the wonderful waterfalls pouring down over rock formations at Mukut.

Tioman Island (Pulau Tioman) is perhaps the best place to retreat to when you need some peace and quiet. You can sit here in the cool refreshing breeze and enjoy the soothing waves. You may also take a stroll along the shores and enjoy the sunset along some of the well-known beaches near the villages: Tekek, Air Batang, Genting, Salang, and Juara.

In addition checking out the outskirts, marine life and beaches, you can also head inland and search have a look at what the place offers you in terms of food and clothing. Tioman tends to be a quiet place, but this does not mean that there is a lack of activity. There are entertainment spots on a small scale, with the bulk of the activity taking place within hotels.
