In describing the locations in Langkawi, it must be asserted that the geographical measures such as the North, South, East and West directions are used. This is helpful in presenting you with a clear picture of Langkawi. In the North of Langkawi, you will find Gua Cherita; in fact this is located right on the tip of Langkawi in the North.
In the North, and lying just below Gua Cherita is the Tg. Rhu Beach. From there, coming down towards the North-West is the Black sand Beach. If you move into territory beyond the sea, you will be stepping outside Langwali.
In the North there is also Pedang Lalang Air Hangat. Below that is Air Hangat Village and more towards the east is Sg. Kilim and Galaria Perdana. In the center of Langkawi is the Durian Perangin Waterfall, and below that is the Gunung Raya.
From the center of Langkawi, if you move towards the West, you will reach the Malaysia Book Village. In the South East, you will find Kisap, and there will be two important locations; Langkawi Crystall and Kedah marble. Below that is Batu Puteh in the South East.
Directly across Langkawi's map from this point, in the South-West you will find the Ancient Tomb and the Mahsuri Mausoleum. South of these places, you will find the Langkawi Golf Club. Approaching the South from the Durian Perangin Waterfall, you will head straight for the CHOGM Park and further down south you will find Langkawi Yachting Club.
