In the northern area of Bali, the coast is stretched wide from east to west. Starting in the north on the left of Bali's map, you will find a small island called Nusa menjangan. This place is ideal for diving and visitors travel all the way here for the experience. Another important place on the northern coast is Gondol.
Coming from Gondol towards the east is Celukanbawang, another coastal location. Further to the east but still on the north coast, is a popular beach called the Lovina Beach. On this same curve in the north is another location called Singaraja. Further up the curve there is Kubufambaham. While still down the north coast you will come to Tedjakula which is another range that is one of the best for diving.
Tianyar is another well known area. Beyond Tianyar is Tulamben and Amed, which are diving locations. These diving parts of Bali are mainly ones in the north east, rather than the north only. In the western part of Bali, the important coastal areas are Gilimanuk, Malaya and Pengambengun. From there, coming down towards the south you will see Pulukan and Penggragoan. In the south, the important locations are Tanahlot, Canggu, Batubelig, Serninyak, Legian, Klita, Jinbaran and Uluwatu. Around the curve in southern of Bali is a string of places that lead back up to the diving locations in the east. Each of these places is ideal for picnicking and water sports.
