The culture of Hyderabad has been a meeting place for many different cultures and traditions. It is a place where the cultures and linguistic traditions of north India and south India meet. Hyderabad is famous for its traditional markets and bazaars. These markets usually consist of shops and street vendors with carts. The famous bazaars in Hyderabad are Laad Bazaar near Charminar, Sultan Bazaar at Kothi, General Bazaar and the historical Muazzam Jah market in town. All kinds of things are available in these big shopping areas. Hyderabad is famous for its pearls, bangles and perfumes called attar.

What to wear in Hyderabad

One can wear light clothing in summers but in the winter season, woolen and warm clothing is needed. People in Hyderabad are very cultured and tradition oriented. To visit mosques or tombs, one needs to be dressed properly and cover the head. People are also seen wearing western clothes.

Traveling around in Hyderabad

For traveling around, there are many means of transportation available. There are taxis as well as rickshaws to move from one place to another. Public buses as well as express buses are there which help in traveling inside the city as well as outside the city. Cars on rent are also available which can be hired for visiting places.

Health services in Hyderabad

People visiting Hyderabad for the first time may be exposed to the risks of certain diseases such as cholera, dengue fever, dysentery and malaria due to pollution as well as contamination. Try to avoid drinking tap water and only drink mineral water. There are quality hospitals in Hyderabad that provide standard services such as Apollo Hospital, Banjara Hospital, Gandhi Hospital and Sri Srinivas Hospital. The visitors should take care and take proper precautions.

Nightlife in Hyderabad

There is no nightlife in Hyderabad in the strict terms of the word. There are hotels and restaurants that are open till late at night and serve good food. However, there are no public bars or discos. Although wine can be brought from an authorized shop, consumption in public is not allowed. There are cinemas and theatres scattered over the city that show English, Hindi and Talegu films.

Hyderabad is a big city where all kinds of industries and factories are providing jobs to local people. Many people also work in government offices while a majority works in private offices and firms. There are also people who run their own private businesses.
