Hong Kong has a long and interesting history and many people go there simply to learn about how this city has affected changes in the rest of the world. There are many places that to visit but it is a good idea to have a general idea of the locations of towns and other places in Hong Kong. Lo Wu is an important location in the North. In the northeast, you will find Pat Sin Range Country Park. This is a very green area that covers several square meters. You could spend a whole day exploring the area or simply relaxing. Not far away is another scenic area called Plover Cove Country Park. This park is connected to the Pat Sin Range Country Park, but extends outside the limits of Hong Kong.
In southwest Hong Kong you can check out Tai Lam Heuing Country Park. It is a larg park and stretches quite a great distance (east to west) on the Hong Kong map. In fact, this park extends into another Park that is located in south Hong Kong called Lion Hill Country Park.
Kowloon is a well known part of south Hong Kong where you can find Sai Kung which is connected to the Lion Hill Country Park. This is area is located in east Hong Kong. Just outside the eastern boundary, next to Sai Kung is Sai Kung Country Park in the Sai Kung Peninsula. Below this is Pak Tam Chung. Moving southwest toward Tai Lam Heung Country Park, you will find Tuen Mun, an important place in Hong Kong.
In northwest Hong Kong is Yuen Long, above which is Mai Po Marsh. Towards the center of Hong Kong is Kam Tin. Another well known location in Hong Kong is Sha Tin located just above Lion Hill Country Park. Hong Kong is a very green place because of the many parks, but if you travel outside Hong Kong you will find places that are quite green and have lovely parks also.
While Hong Kong is a busy place with plenty to see and do, the parks are an escape from the busy street life. With so many places to see and things to do in Hong Kong, these parks can make you feel relaxed after a day of travel.
