Hangzhou is famous for its natural beauty and historical heritage as well as being an important tourist city in China. Hangzhou seems like a small town, but this city has many beautiful and interesting places to visit. If you look at the south side of the map of Hangzhou, you will note the the Qiantang River along which is the beautiful Riverside Park.
As you look the park, to the west, you will find the China Silk Museum. This museum displays the history and current state of the silk industry in China. Moving further west takes you to Wualo Peak and even further, the Qipan Mountains. The Lingyin Temple is located in front of the Qipan Mountains.
The West Lake is a little further to the east, where there is a huge wild life park. The West Lake is also near the offices of the Municipal Government and the Hangzhou Station. Ahead of the Municipal Government office is the Zhejiang Medical University, which is located right in the center of the city. Nearby is the provincial stadium located on Zhonghe Road.
As you tour the map of Hangzhou, you will come to the main road which runs across Hangzhou. This road is made up four interconnected roads known as: Xixi Road, Tianmushan Road, Orbital Road and Genshan Rd. The Zhejiang Jiangxi Railway runs between Orbital and Genshan Road.
The Grand Living quarters are situated just off Xixi Road. The Yuhangtang River is visible when you move northwards from the Grand Living quarters. If you look to the east of Moganshan Road, you will see the Beijing-Hangzhou canal. On the far east side of the city, you will find the only hospital in Hangzhou: Shao Yifu Hospital on Qiutao Road.
